Our Salon Policies
We believe great hair starts with clarity and respect. Late Cancellation/No Show
At Oh So Blonde, we understand that life can be unpredictable. However, as a small business, late cancellations and no-shows significantly impact our operations and our team.
To ensure we can continue providing the best service possible, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice for any appointment changes.
Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled time will incur a fee equal to 20% of the service total.
No-Shows: Guests who fail to arrive for their appointment will be charged 50% of the service total.
Rebooking: Following a no-show, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure any future bookings. This deposit will be applied toward your service on the day of your visit.
Please note that outstanding fees must be settled to remain eligible for future bookings. We deeply appreciate your cooperation and your support of our small business.
Refunds
At Oh So Blonde, our primary goal is to ensure you leave feeling confident and inspired. While we maintain a no-refund policy, we are deeply committed to the integrity of our work. If your results are not exactly what you envisioned, we invite you to contact us within 72 hours of your visit. We are pleased to offer a complimentary adjustment to ensure your look is perfected.
Box Dye
To ensure the best possible results, we kindly ask that all clients disclose any previous use of at-home box dyes during their initial booking or consultation.

Because "box colour" behaves differently than professional formulas, the removal process is uniquely complex. While we cannot guarantee a specific outcome in a single session, our expert team is dedicated to achieving your desired look while prioritising the long-term health and integrity of your hair. We invite you to book a complimentary consultation to map out a personalised journey toward your dream hair.
Poor Product Use
Maintaining a salon-quality look depends as much on your at-home ritual as it does on the time you spend in our chair. To ensure your hair stays vibrant and healthy, please consider the following guidelines regarding professional-grade care.
The longevity and brilliance of your colour are directly tied to the products you use daily. Professional formulas are designed to nourish the hair, while many retail-grade or "supermarket" products contain harsh surfactants and heavy silicones.
Using non-professional products can lead to:

- Poor Colour Deposit: Residual buildup can create a barrier, preventing professional colour from penetrating the hair shaft evenly.
- Premature Fading: Harsh ingredients can strip toners and pigments, significantly shortening the life of your investment.
- Unpredictable Chemical Reactions: Certain ingredients found in drugstore and some organic brands can react negatively with professional-grade chemicals, leading to uneven results or compromised hair integrity.
Important: Monday Haircare
Please be advised that we cannot perform lightening services on clients currently using Monday Haircare products. The specific chemical composition of this brand has been known to react aggressively with professional powder lighteners. This reaction can cause severe, irreversible thermal damage to the hair fibres.
Our Goal: We want to ensure the safety of your hair and the excellence of your results. If you are unsure if your current routine is compatible with your hair goals, please let us know so we can recommend a safe alternative.
Running Late to Appointments
We understand that life can be unpredictable—whether it’s unexpected traffic or a change in the weather, we know things happen. However, to ensure our team can provide the highest quality service and remain on schedule for every guest, we kindly ask for your cooperation with our timing policy.

- The 20-Minute Grace Period: If you are more than 20 minutes late, we may be unable to honour your appointment and reserve the right to cancel or reschedule.
- Give Us a Heads Up: If you anticipate being 5–10 minutes behind, please call us as soon as possible so we can do our best to accommodate you.
- Please note that if we cannot complete the service due to being late the deposit will be forfeited.
Guest & Child
To ensure a serene and focused environment for all our guests, we kindly request that you attend your appointment alone. To maintain the tranquil atmosphere of the studio, we are unable to accommodate additional guests, including friends, family, or children.

Special Note for New Parents: We warmly welcome breastfeeding infants. However, for the safety of the child and the relaxation of our clients, we ask that once your little one becomes mobile, you make alternative childcare arrangements for your visit.
Chlorine & Colour Integrity
Frequent exposure to chlorine can cause blonde tones to shift toward unwanted green or yellow hues. While our stylists are highly skilled in colour correction, these mineral deposits can be deeply stubborn. We will always do our absolute best to restore your shade, though complete removal cannot always be guaranteed in a single session.
Prevention & Protection
To keep your blonde looking its best, we recommend the following:

- Keep it Dry: Whenever possible, avoid submerging your hair while swimming.
- Create a Barrier: Wear a swimming cap or apply a professional leave-in treatment prior to entering the water to minimise absorption.
- Post-Swim Care: Use a clarifying or neutralising treatment immediately after your swim to remove residual chemicals.
Service Limitations and Safety
To ensure the integrity of your hair and the quality of our results, we reserve the right to decline or reschedule services under the following conditions:

- Chemical Incompatibility: Use of certain over-the-counter products (e.g., Monday Haircare) or previous chemical treatments such as Nanoplasty, which may react adversely with our professional formulas.
- Hair Integrity: If the current condition of the hair is compromised and cannot safely support the requested chemical process.
- Professional Conduct: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for disrespectful or disruptive behaviour to ensure a positive environment for all guests.
